Perry has been writing songs for
over 35 years. His material draws
on rich life experiences, which include
growing up in rural eastern Canada,
traveling the world while in the U.S.
Navy and surviving the hi-tech rat
race of Silicon Valley in California.
He now lives with his wife Lucille
on six acres of riverfront property
in the woods of Oregon. In addition
to recording and performing, his many
endeavors include computer programming,
web development and producing and
promoting music events along the southern
Oregon coast.
Perry’s first full-length CD
entitled “Just Devine”
was recorded at ASR Studios in Brookings,
Oregon with the help of the members
of the band Houston Jones, Including:
Travis Jones, Glenn Houston, Chojo
Jacques, Peter Tucker and Chris Kee.
These seasoned veterans took Perry’s
well-crafted songs to amazing new
heights, resulting in a CD that is
sure to please all fans of Americana
music.
Perry attends the Americana Song
Academy in Sister’s, Oregon,
every year, where he receives intensive
instruction and one-on-one mentoring
from some of the finest singer/songwriters
in the country, including: Ruthie
Foster, Darrell Scott, Keith Greeninger,
Ellis Paul, Harry Manx, Willy Porter,
Jonathan Byrd, Stephen Fearing, Johnsmith,
Susan Werner, Joe Craven, Rosalie
Sorrels, Jud Caswell, Dennis McGregor,

RAY HARRIS
was born in Bowmanville, but grew
up in the Ottawa Valley back &
forth between rural Pontiac County
and Ottawa. He has been playing the
bars, pubs, henhouses and outhouses
of the Ottawa and area music scene
in one form or another for about 30
years. About 15 years ago, he made
a decision to start playing only music
he liked - gravitating towards rootsy,
honest, heart on your sleeve stuff
like Gram Parsons, Tom Russell, Hank
Williams, Buddy Holly, Johnny Cash,
The Byrds - to name a few. Somewhere
in there he started writing songs
and in August 2009 released his debut
album "East End,West End, North
End, South End". Songs like "Shawville
Girl", "Too Many Places
In This Town", "Theatre
Of Your Mind" have be heard on
CBC, CHUO, CKCU, CHIP here in Canada,
as well as being picked up by Australian
Public Radio! Last September he was
invited to play the 12th Annual Gram
Parsons Guitar Pull Festival in Waycross,GA
on a bill that included legends Charlie
Louvin & Leon Russell - and has
been invited back this year. Ray keeps
busy playing shows with his band "the
BSOBs", as well as solo acoustic
shows and as one third of the popular
trio, the Sun Bleached Skulls (with
Rob Smith & Ken Workman). He also
co-hosts the Monthly Songwriter Circles
at Ottawa's Elmdale House Tavern.
Keep your ear to the ground...he's
coming to a venue near you!
